Te Quiero, Puerto Rico

Hello again!

Puerto Rico was perfecto... full of windy roads, delicious fish, fresh fruit, and beach beach beach! I've never had such a restful vacation, and at such a welcome time. We stayed in the Rincon area for the week and took day trips into San Sebastian where we swam with the fishes in an emerald green lagoon, and to El Combate to relax on the mile-long (at least!) white sand beach and turquoise water.

There were lizards the size of small dogs... small actual dogs everywhere... horses running along the beach... mangos falling from the trees... and cocofrios - frozen coconuts, chopped with a machete and stuck with a straw. Yummmm! If you've never been to Puerto Rico, I couldn't recommend it more. We stayed at the magnificent Casa del Joseys, which had all sorts of nice Josey touches that reminded us of what a wonderful family they are. Three cheers for Joseys! Hip hip...

Well, that's it for a quick update. Expect more this week as treatment begins. I meet la máquina de protones (the proton machine!) tomorrow at 1pm, and have heard this bad boy is 4 stories tall. Wow. So far Boston has been very enjoyable, and it's been a great comfort to have Sarah along for the trip. Stay tuned for proton pics!
